Heart of Worcestershire College celebrates T-Level Week with opportunities for students, employers

Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) celebrated T-Level Week which took place 13th-17th October, shining a spotlight on its T-Level courses and the achievements of students, staff, and employment partners.

T-Levels are technical qualifications designed with employers to provide young people with hands-on experience through industry placements and prepare them for the workforce.

They are recognised as a pathway into careers, helping to address local skills shortages and develop the next generation of talent.

Jacqui Smith, Minister for Skills, said: “T-Levels are at the forefront of this government’s technical education offer. They are excellent qualifications based on employer-led standards and they break down barriers to opportunity, giving young people hands-on experience through industry placements.

“T-Levels are also helping to build talented workforces – around a third of T-Level students who progress into employment get jobs with their T-Level Industry Placement employer.”

HoW College currently offers T-Levels in:

  • Childcare and Early Years
  • Health
  • Digital Production, Design and Development
  • Digital Support and Services

As part of T-Level Week, HoW College showcased the experience of its students and highlight the strong relationships it has built with local employers. Activities will showcase local opportunities, progression paths, and success stories of past students’ experiences of their T-Level placements and the employment opportunities they gained.

The College is inviting prospective students, parents, and local employers to explore the opportunities available through T-Levels and consider partnership and enrolment options.
