At Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, we rely on the generosity of our supporters and local businesses to fund every lifesaving mission we undertake. We receive no government funding for our daily operations, which means our corporate partnerships are absolutely vital. Businesses across the Midlands — including Herefordshire and Worcestershire — play a crucial role in keeping our helicopters in the air and our critical care cars on the road.
Our experienced corporate partnerships team work closely with each business partner to create tailored, mutually beneficial relationships that make a tangible difference. Last year alone, corporate partners helped to fund 80 air ambulance missions and 178 critical care car missions, a direct reflection of how meaningful these collaborations can be.
Through initiatives such as our Flight Patrons Programme, businesses can go one step further by helping to fund the specialist training of our Critical Care Paramedics. This programme not only strengthens our clinical capability but also gives supporters the opportunity to connect deeply with our frontline work.
Another simple yet powerful way to support the charity is through Payroll Giving. This tax-efficient scheme allows employees to donate directly from their salary before tax is deducted – meaning their contribution goes further at no extra cost. For employers, it’s a cost-effective CSR initiative that enhances ESG credentials and fosters a culture of giving within the workplace.
Beyond financial contributions, many companies choose to support us through volunteering and event sponsorship. Encouraging staff to get involved at fundraising events, airbase open days, or in our charity shops, this significantly strengthens team bonds and provides vital hands-on support for our operation.
Event sponsorship enables us to continue hosting key fundraising events while offering our partners excellent brand visibility and alignment with a meaningful cause.
Some partners also offer invaluable gifts in kind like Worcestershire based Kelly Plant Hire Ltd, who provide free advertising by incorporating our branding onto its vehicle livery and providing free sweepers for our large-scale outdoor events and airbases.
